about

Every night we spent on the plains, we were battered by the wind in our tiny tarp tent. The walls were animated by the ceaseless wind, creating loud rustles and cracks, and our home nearly collapsed on us all night. This song was made from our experience, of battling the wind by day on our bicycles and by night in our tent. I found myself praying to the wind, as if it was carrying us and protecting us, even as it pressed strongly against our forward motion.

This song is part of the Quilted House installation created by Hazel and Kyle at the ArtFarm in Marquette, Nebraska.
